I like this too, anything shot through a tree is good...
Though I would quibble on your definition of ancient building. That looks younger than my house. ;)
Eddie Izzard joked on American vs. European ideas of what 'old' is in his "Dress To Kill" HBO special.
He starts, "I grew up in Europe... where the history comes from." :-)
Dead on the money, he was.
LOL, yeah, seen that show - remember that line. ;)
I have an intense interest in history, and kind of take for granted that where I live is reasonably old. All my family have been born and raised in London, on both sides of the family for at least 150 years, many centuries more on some branches.
The town I live in has a few buildings in it over 400 years old, and a few churches with parts over a thousand years old. Within a few miles there are plenty of sites with remains from two thousand years ago.
An an example... A local pub I frequent was setup in it's present layout and purpose, 161 years before Dayton was founded. ;)
We often joke (perhaps) over here, about America being a young country, still needing to grow up a bit. ;)
