This morning Dr. Phil was on tv in the break room. A mother wrote in concerned about her three year old daughter's imaginary friends. He said that it was perfectly normal and healthy, and the sign of an active and creative imagination. I found this relieving, as I had a whole host of imaginary friends as a kid. Problem is, I had so many because they kept getting bored with me and leaving, so I'd have to invent new ones.
I was a weird little kid.

... I think I got your sloppy seconds... if it's any consolation, it wasn't just you... they left me after an even shorter period of time... in search of more interesting kids.
I had to many brothers and sisters to crowd my life with an imaginary friend. When I got made - I always said...why couldn't I be an only child...LOL!
LOL, whilst imaginary friends are not uncommon - I think it's time to be concerned when even the imaginary ones keep wandering off in search of pastures new. ;)
My favourite line from Drop Dead Fred was "Cobwebs"
I never had imaginary friends.
And I've always liked playing alone.
Steff, you strike me as somebody who is totally comfortable within yourself.
I saw Drop Dead Fred just once on HBO right after it came out. It didn't seem to register, maybe it would now that I've grown up a bit.
Drop Dead Fred rocks, Rik Mayall is an excellent comedian, though a bit silly - so possibly an acquired taste. Very very english.
LOL @ cobwebs.
