So tonight, in a very rare planetary alignment, not only was Viv staying in Dayton, but Caro spent the night with at a friend's house... leaving the mouse free to play. So after dropping her off, I come home, look up some porn (gotta love XNXX) took a shower, watched the Liberty Bike episode of American Chopper, and then headed out to paint the town black and white with the tripod that my stepdad gave me. Now I can take night shots that require the shutter to be open for 8, 20, or even 30 seconds. Too bad that at sunset the air went completely stagnant without a breath of a breeze, and a vague damp haze settled in. That'll either add a mysterious ambiance to the photos, or just make them muddy. We'll see in a week or two...

---

Tonight is the first night of the year that the corn is mature enough to give off it's heavenly sweet scent on hot muggy nights. If you've never lived around corn fields, once the stalks grow tassles and silk, on nights when the air is heavy and sticky, the country air smells like honey. There's nothing like it... and nothing better.

Walking through that soupy still hot air tonight, I couldn't help but recall the line from the character Harry in "Sex and the City":

I'm schvitzing like a pudding at a picnic!

I love Yiddish.

Ahhh, a man who watches Sex and the City and can quote it...is a man after my own heart. ;)

Some country smells I adore, but not the sweet ones - whilst I have a sweet tooth, sweet smells often make me a little nauseous. Particularly the smell from breweries or biscuit factories, bleurgh. Dare say the corn fields smell a darn sight better.

For preference, I like the smell of the sea over green pastures.

Texas - ok, so I was a captive audience as Caro was the big fan, but I did enjoy it. "Fucking fromage! Fucking fromage!!"

Orb - Oh, it's just a wonderfully fresh, sweet, and dewey smell. You'd love it. Never been past a beer brewery, but where they make Jim Beam whiskey in Cincinnati is right by the highway and you can smell it as you drive by. Whiskey brewing process = not too pleasant. And as much as I love the smell of corn fields, Cargill (the largest corn oil plant in the US) is in north Dayton, and the smell is positively vomitous. Don't get too much sea smell here in Ohio, I'll have to take your word for it.

Gayboy - Paul Jr. is pretty cute, isn't he? Too bad he comes across like a whiney bitch... you can just tell. (I'd still give him a blowjob, though)

So, Andy, which of the catergories do you prefer on XNXX?

Ok... you asked for it! I think my favorite categories (in no particular order) are:

Mature (but not granny [blech!])

Redheads (I am putty in redheads' hands)

Group Sex (one can always hope)

Cum Swallowing (won't ask anybody to do anything I wouldn't do)

Bukkake (Cum is sexy. Lots of cum is lots of sexy!)

Old/Young Lesbians (age difference is wonderfully kinky)

Gay (duh)

Shemale (although sometimes it's frustrating to sift through for those rare galleries where she looks like an actual attractive woman with a cock, not just some dude who got a boob job and put on some make up)

And let us not forget the "Videos of the Day" section. :-) Now, in light of my perversion, if you don't run screaming, you may be my kinda person!

Now, are you the type of person who visits this site? If so, I send your question back to you. ;-)

You must know what the sea smells like Andy?? A cousin-ish of mine came over here from Arizona last year and she had never seen the sea before that time (she was 33) - I nearly choked when I heard that. At no place in the UK are you ever more than 72 miles from the coast. I visited the coast on Thursday last. :)

Oh and I think you've gone up another bracket on your "openness" scale. ;)

I love the smell of the ocean, the sound of the waves, the feel of the sand...heaven. :)

Well, from the porn site you linked to I first visited the school girl, lingerie, panties, stockings, and panty hose sections to get ideas for my own wardrobe. Next I went to brunettes and latex. My ex got me interested in the latex look. Hard as heck to get on and off though. I prefer brown haired women/actresses/models with small boobs, not too skinny and not too fat. Sort of like Scarlett Johanson or Kate Winslet.
I find it's more of a turn on to look at women in porn than men. The guys are always so gross and penis shots just don't do anything for me.
Karl, now that's going up one step on the openness meter. ;)

One step?? I think you just fried the meter!

Think it's fairly normal for women to prefer seeing the women in porn to the men. Something both sexes have in common.

Probably some major conclusion to be drawn from that, but I'll leave it.

Openness is always a virtue, even when exposing vices.

I dunno about that. Most women I've talked to don't have the slightest inclination toward homosexuality. Maybe that's a regional cultural thing though. Of course, here in the Bible belt, any thoughts (and especially actions) of that nature are thorougly frowned upon and discouraged. In more tolerant and accepting regions, such as the pacific northwest (including Steff's Vancouver), I imagine it is far more prevalent.

Personally, I still have to fight off the occasional momentary tendancy to feel that homosexuality is gross and wrong.

Karl,
I agree. Openness is good, communication key.

Here in Texas homosexuality, bisexuality, or dabbling in either is seen both ways, just depends on who you talk to. Whatever floats your boat, or tickles your pickle.
