Texas Gurl emailed me this link to a site called "Opacity", where this guy breaks into old decaying spooky structures such as TB hospitals, mental facilities, etc., and takes really haunting (pun intended) photographs.
That's so frickin' cool. There's this hospital that they're slowly dismantling that I wanna break into and photograph. Maybe I'll do it at dawn on some sunny Sunday morning. I've been toying with the idea awhile now, but this may just get me going. Hmm.
It's on a hill, and at sunset you can see clear through the empty window holes (which are all large) to the mountains and the water. What a time of year to do it, too. HMM.
I can't stand asylums, so terrifying - have you ever been in one? It's quite awful. I've been visiting in them a few times, and I can say that if you're not mad when you get admitted, then you will be when you leave, such terrible things.
SCS, I like this guy's site because he doesn't vandalize anything and leaves everything just as he found it. You have got to post pics of your adventure!!
Orbling, All the mental asylums were closed here in the states about twenty years ago. Now we force the mentally ill to roam the streets with no medicine or place to stay. I know asylums weren't a terrific solution but there must be a middle ground somewhere between there and the streets.

Sounds like a good idea. ^^^
