Monday night, Dark Haired Girl and I had our first live conversation since we met. We'd exchanged a few emails, but this was our first live (and sober) interaction. I was nervous about whether we'd still "click", but quickly eased fully into the conversation. I'd love to tell you that it was one of those countless hour, all night long phone talks, and I'm sure that it could've easily turned into one were it not for her having a very early morning. I had to pry myself off the phone from the mutual gush-fest that was our chat so she could go to bed.

This girl is truly an amazing person... she's a complete self-sacrificial humanitarian, and her job is to save the world, one little bit at a time. I'm so humbled by her.

We have a date saturday night. :-) I'm going to take her ice skating, and maybe for a bite to eat and a drink afterward. She has an early sunday morning, so I promised I'd have her home by midnight....

this is going to be the longest damned week.
