Me back in June at the Trolley Stop

Lead me not into egotism, but deliver me from vanity.

No, I don't think I'm God's gift to humanity or anything, it just seems awfully vane to post pictures of oneself on one's blog. I don't even like that picture of me. This was more an act of humility than "Hey, look at me!"

Ok, maybe it was just a little, but it's like heroin when you people say nice things. It's all your fault! You've turned me into an attention junkie!

Ok, my motives were like 97% humility, 3% vanity. Yeah, that's it. :-)

Yes, I have I-teeth from hell that stick out like fangs. My parents couldn't afford braces when I was a kid. Sue me.

Well I don't want to fuel the attention junkie in you, so I won't pass comment on your image. [Comments coming from blokes on this matter might not be 'heroin' like anyhow. ;)]

But I will say that humility and vanity need not be considered, how about bravery! Takes balls to put yourself forward.

Orb, I welcome comments from blokes as well as ladies. I'd be lying if I said I didn't have tendancies in that direction.

(Oh, like you guys've never wondered)

I have two essential vitamins, E and H. Embarrassment and humility. It actually feels weird without something to be embarrassed about, I almost need it. I don't know why. Maybe it's the whole attention thing. But by posting pictures of myself and my world, I'm letting you guys into my world a little bit further. Even the ones I find less than flattering are my way of letting the world see my imperfections. Plus, it makes the blog more personal... giving you a face and some visuals to put behind the words.

LOL, well it's good to have a broader field. :)

Blogs that have the personal touch tend to be more interesting, we all like noseing in to other people's lives don't we? ;)

I shouldn't worry about the H & E, I'm pretty sure that I've never felt that anything you said was worthy of you being humiliated. Your a decent man, don't forget that.
