Lovely cloud.
You can never have a wide enough angle to shoot with. 28mm is as low as I have at present, and it's nowhere near big enough. I've been lusting after a decent ultra-wide zoom lens for awhile.
Either this one: EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM, or this one: EF 16-35mm f/2.8L USM.
The former is real good, as it goes very very wide, probably because it's an EF-S, and therefore can get closer to the image sensor. But the latter one is an L (Professional), very quick for a zoom (f2.8) and takes the extender so can be magnified.
Only slight hassle, cost. The former is £550 ($1000), the latter is £1250 (~$2300). :S
Orb, it seems that you and I have chosen one of the most ungodly expensive hobbies on the planet! :-)
Sar, I never would've thought of that. Great idea. Unfortunately I hardly know anything about Photoshop, and am too lazy to take the days to sit down with a book and learn.
LOL, you're right - I've already spent over $2k on kit, and I've got barely anything I want - I could easily spend $20k on lens, no trouble. Especially as I would like to do some good astrophotography and want a tracking telescope. :S
Sar means photostiching, it's quite clever. The digital Canon's come with a utility called PhotoStich that does all that automagically - dead handy. [Takes a collection of side-by-side taken pictures and finds the lines where they should be stuck together and does it for you.]
