You need to paint! I'd put a really dramatic colour on the slanted wall above the bed, or the a-frame wall with the window on it... something that smacks of passion! make you feel awake/alive in the mornings.

I asked. Mom said no. :-( She's very defensive of me making changes to her house. I would love to paint the vaulted ceiling a nice bright but deep magenta.
